Suryakumar Yadav Warns Against Fake Quotes After Supporting India Team and Young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
Former India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav supports the Indian team and young debutant Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after his historic debut against England. The cricketer also warns fans about fake quotes falsely attributed to him circulating online.
Suryakumar, who was removed from the Indian T20I squad despite leading India to the T20 World Cup title on home soil earlier this year, shared his best wishes for the team and praised Vaibhav Sooryavanshi following the youngster’s historic international debut.
“I am very happy for the team. I wish them nothing but the very best, always. I know the boys are giving their all and they will always have my full support,” Suryakumar posted on Tuesday afternoon.
He also sent a special message to Sooryavanshi, stating, “You are at the start of what promises to be a very exciting journey. Enjoy every moment and keep making the country proud.”
The 15-year-old cricketer from Bihar created history by becoming the youngest player to represent India when he made his debut in the second T20I against England at Old Trafford. He surpassed the record of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who made his international debut at the age of 16.

Suryakumar also addressed the spread of misleading statements on social media, saying that a statement falsely linked to him had been circulated online.
“I have also noticed a statement being circulated online that has been falsely attributed to me,” he wrote.
Although the specific statement referred to by Suryakumar was not identified, the cricketer’s clarification highlighted the growing issue of fake quotes and misleading content being shared across social media platforms.
Suryakumar’s removal from the Indian T20I team came after a prolonged period of poor batting form in international cricket. Despite his leadership role during India’s T20 World Cup triumph, the selectors appointed Shreyas Iyer as the new captain.
While stepping away from his captaincy role, Suryakumar reiterated his continued support for the Indian team and backed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to have a successful international career. His message came as the young batter began a new chapter in Indian cricket history with a record-breaking debut.
